Coaching

Well, Jenessa, Cherilyn, and I all have the amazing opportunity to coach 2 soccer teams of 5th-6th grade girls for park and rec. I have always wanted to coach, in fact, I want to get a minor in coaching. This has been a great first experience.

 I have definitely learned what not to do and some things to do. It has been fun adjusting my schedule in between working at Blast, coaching/reffing, and the play. It is very busy, but it is so worth it. We have already had the opportunity to bond with some of the girls. It is a lot of fun. We have had a couple practices and a scrimmage. I am really looking forward to being able to help them get better and to grow in my relationship with them. Hopefully we will be a good example to them and maybe we will have the opportunity to share the gospel with them and/or invite them to our VBS and Awana. This is a great opportunity for us to challenge them to possibly make what would be the most important decision they could ever make, to trust Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

I am sure that we would all love it if you could pray for us. You can pray for us to be a good example to them, to make sure that we are letting them have fun and not just trying to teach them skills, and also for us to be able to have the opportunity to witness to them. Thank you much!
