Spring Break!!

Sorry guys that I haven't posted in a while. After summer I kind of forgot about it and didn't have time to post anything.

To start off spring break we went to my Aunt Beth's house for a movie night. It was a lot of fun. We made taco bowls and watched Les Mis and the Tourist. Oh and Duchessa, my aunt's dog, had fun slobbering all over my face. Altogether it was a great night!

Well for spring break Jenessa, Cher, Alyssa, Sarah, and I had the opportunity to go to June Piepho's house to paint. They are currently building a new house and needed someone to paint it. We had a blast! It was a lot of work, but super fun!

The best part of Spring Break however, was going on the Leadership Retreat up north. The juniors and seniors from our youth group went up to the DeNeui's parents cabin for a retreat. There we spent a great amount of time going hiking to various cites. It was so amazing being able to see God's creation.

The first day we went to Gooseberry Falls. It was a lot of fun. It was quite frozen but very beautiful. Then we went to Silver Bay, where we would actually be staying, and unpacked. Then we got our pictures taken on some super tall chairs. After that, we went to Split Rock Lighthouse. Unfortunately we couldn't go in it, but there was an amazing view from below.  Then we went to Twin Falls. After that we went back to the cabin for dinner and then devotions. It was great being able to learn together from God's Word. I learned a lot over that weekend.

The next day we went hiking again. This time we went to Baptism Falls and some other sites. Jenessa and Tori decided to slide on their butts to get down the hill, it looked like a lot of fun. We even crossed this bridge that only 3 people could cross at a time. The waterfall there was absolutely beautiful. It was a lot of fun. It was amazing being able to see God's creation. David, Spencer, and I also went looking for some deer, but they got away. Then we went to a beach where we skipped rocks. We also held a ping pong tournament. At night after devotions we played the plate game and then mafia. The plate game is the game where each person writes their name on a plate, the plates get shuffled, then they are passed to different people. Then when you get your plate you have to draw the person whose name is on the back. Then, we have all see the pictures and have to decide who they are. It was so much fun!

On Saturday we went hiking again to this place where an arch used to be. It was absolutely gorgeous. While we were on the cliff, Cher and Alexis decided that they wanted to do hand stands. It scared some of our parents a little. Then we went to another beach where we sat down and tossed some rocks. We saw some kids putting their legs in the water, which was not very smart because of the cold temperatures. After that we went back to the cabin and got ready to go.

Altogether it was a great fun filled weekend. It was a time where we grew together and were able to learn how to be a better leader. I am so thankful for the opportunity to go.
